My other Goal is one I can share with you because it's something you can all see.
Last April, I joined a gym. For the past 260 days or so, I have gone almost everyday (except Sunday)...at the very worst, 3 times a week. In that time I have lost 50 pounds.
For the past 3 months, I have been stuck (maybe I should say holding steady) at that weight. I didn't have as much self-control as I should have when Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas happened...luckily the gym-going evened it out.
I know 50 pounds is nothing to sneeze at, but according to various charts, graphs and formulae I have consulted, I am still considered overweight. I need to lose between 30 and 50 more pounds to be at my proper BMI...even though I am thinner and fitter than I have been for many many years
I also know that I should not pay attention to what charts say, but to how my clothes fit etc etc. But gosh darn it, I want to be in that "Healthy Weight" category!
SO! Away with the treats and yummy holiday foods, and back to the 'ol healthy food grind.
And taking an idea from my friend Luann, here are the dirty details for all the internets to see:
|Bust: A snug 41 inches. By the way, can you see the black line on the 41? That's the size my waist used to be!|
|Under bust: 35 inches|
|Waist: 34 inches|
|Hips: 38 inches|
|Thigh: 23-ish inches|
What's funny is that according to various clothing size charts, my bust and waist are size 16-18, but my hips are a size 6-8!!? Really? As my friend Swass said recently, "Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!"
It must be all the hip shakin' I've been doing in Zumba class ;)
